Platforms and Hardware We Install
Most of our access control projects are built on UniFi Access, and we also install HID and Brivo systems. For the door itself we use proven hardware from HES, Securitron, Seco-Larm, Camden, Alarm Controls, Von Duprin, Adams Rite and Command Access, with Altronix and PoE power. We recommend a platform based on your number of doors, how you want to manage users, and whether you need multiple locations in one dashboard.
What Goes Into an Access-Controlled Door
A reader on the wall is only one part of the system. Each secured door needs:
- A reader or keypad for cards, fobs, PIN codes or mobile credentials
- An electrified lock — an electric strike, magnetic lock or electrified exit device — matched to the door and frame
- A request-to-exit device and door position sensor so people can always leave and the system knows when a door is forced or propped
- A power supply with battery backup sized for the locks
- A controller or hub and software where you add users, set schedules and review entry logs

What Affects the Cost
Access control is priced per door. The main factors are the number of doors, the type of door and lock hardware, how far each door is from the network and power, and the platform you choose — some carry monthly cloud fees and some don’t, and we explain any ongoing costs before you decide. Most complete commercial doors run about $3,000–$3,500, including professional-grade reader and lock hardware, installation and programming; exact pricing depends on the door and the platform you choose, and every project starts with a free written estimate. Service and Upgrades for Existing Systems
Already have access control? We troubleshoot readers that stop reading, doors that won’t latch or release, and controllers that went offline, and we upgrade older systems to cloud and mobile access. Service visits are $180, and our work is backed by a 1-year parts and labor warranty.
